Buddy had been hurt in ways you could see...
...and in ways you couldn’t see.
RSPCA Dr Laeticia examined Buddy carefully. This three-year-old Kelpie cross had a shocking wound. He’d been tied up – for months – with a heavy metal chain around his neck. The chain had become deeply embedded in his skin.
He was in pain, and he was terrified.
This winter, thousands of animals will arrive through our shelter doors. Many of them are like Buddy – they have complex needs. They need urgent vet treatment and behavioural support to overcome their fears and anxieties after suffering cruelty or neglect.
Animals like Buddy need more time in our shelter. That means greater costs.
Animal lovers like you from across the state are rallying around to raise the funds needed to help care for animals this winter. We have until 30 June.
Please will you help?
A tax-deductible gift could help rescue an animal like Buddy and provide everything from urgent vet care to behavioural support. You’ll help make sure that cruelty doesn’t win. And help an animal heal and find the loving home they deserve.
